Pit-Stop Training organised a run up to Ace Cafe.
14 Bikes arrived at the ferry port of Fishbourne to commence the run up.
Going out of Portsmouth onto the M27 then up through the windy bush-lined roads of Boarhunt.
The A32 was next; now this road is awesome. Countryside road with various speed limits travelling through the pretty quaint villages of Hampshire,a good test of the riders skills using concentration, observation and anticipation with various bends, we reached the well-known biker cafe Loomies.
A quick bite to eat and slurp of tea or coffee and we were off again up the A32 and onto the faster curvy A31. Reaching the A3 the next stop to gather the group was Ripley Bypass.
Some fuel was taken on board, a briefing of what was to come. The A3 to London beckoned.
Battersea Heliport was the next stop for a briefing of London.
The route Battersea Bridge Road, through Chelsea into Westminster, stopping at County Hall.
No matter how many time I pass Westminster I cease to be struck by the grandeur impact of Big Ben !!
The Tourist hotspots of Parliament Square, The Mall and Buckingham Palace could not be reached due to the road closures.
The busy road to Edgeware was taken where filtering was a must to make any kind of progress lead by Tina, with everyone else playing catch up.
But eventually we all made it to the mecca that is Ace Cafe !!
So does Ace Cafe live up to the hype ? Hell yeah – it’s awesome, great bikes, great food, great bikers !!
It has a good vibe during the day, it hosts various bike and car related events.
